Hartford area home sales shook off a slow spring start and rose 11 percent in June, but prices remain soft, a fresh Realtors survey shows.
Buyers closed on 1,071 units last month, up from 968 closings the same month in 2013, the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors said Wednesday.
Single-family June sale prices fell 1.1 percent to $236,700 from a year ago, the association said.
Condominium sales grew to 275 units in June, up 23 percent from the month last year.
Condo prices were flat at $155,000.

Area home sales were off in both May and April.
