The Connecticut Department of Transportation is still accepting comment through Monday on proposed fares for the upcoming CTrail Hartford Line rail service set to launch in May.
The DOT held public hearings Nov. 13-15 as part of a 35-day public process that ends Monday.
When the Hartford Line service begins in 2018, CTrail and Amtrak will provide 17 roundtrip trains between New Haven and Hartford each weekday with 12 trains continuing to Springfield, Mass.
Proposed fares, which will apply only to the CTrail service and not Amtrak trains, range from $3.50 to $12.75 one way for a single trip, along with discount, weekly and monthly rates, and are posted on the DOT website.
