A pitch competition showcasing young entrepreneurs in digital media will take the stage Sunday evening at TheaterWorks in downtown Hartford.
The “Push” event will be hosted by Connecticut Public’s new initiative, YUPntwk, a multi-platform “creative house” focused on supporting young, emerging creators of digital media content.
YUPntwk plans to leverage the content from the pitch event on its digital channels, in addition to potentially anchoring new content for Connecticut Public’s CPTV and CPTV Spirit channels.
The competition will feature six finalists who will pitch their ideas to a live audience and panel of industry experts. The entrepreneurs will be split into two categories focusing on short form digital content and community events.
Members of YUPntwk, also known as The NTWK, will vote on the winners in each category.
Two winners will receive prize packages including a $5,000 investment, consultations with YUPntwk producers and industry experts, co-production with YUPntwk and promotion on YUPntwk platforms.
A panel of industry experts will ask the contestants questions and provide feedback after each pitch.
The event is free and open to the public.
