Hartford officials have selected a Texas company they’ve worked with in the past to provide online permitting capabilities.
Tyler Technologies announced it will install its EnerGov cloud-based software in several city departments to help streamline the permit process and improve workflow management.
Mayor Pedro Segarra said earlier this year that the city was pursuing an online permitting system.
Daniel Loos, the city’s licenses and inspections director, said in a statement that the software will enable businesses and residents to apply and pay for permits online, as well as track their status. It also allows for electronic submission of related plans and documents.
Hartford hired Tyler in 2011 to do property appraisals for municipal revaluations. In addition, a consortium of 11 northeastern Connecticut towns awarded a $1.2 million contract to Tyler in 2012 for revaluation services.
