The Hartford Fire Department has added two new assistant chiefs — promoting one firefighter from within the agency, and hiring a civilian fire chief from Georgia, officials said.
Carlos M. Huertas, a 30-year department veteran, was promoted to assistant fire chief of emergency services. His new duties officially begin Sunday.
Reginald D. Freeman, fire chief for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Ga., is the Hartford department’s new assistant fire chief of support services. His duties begin March 13.
