Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra has ordered an inspection of all snow-covered city buildings, including schools, as a safety precaution.
Segarra said the city’s license and inspection division will conduct the visits.
He is responding to snow- and ice-laden roof collapses that have occurred throughout the Hartford area and Connecticut in recent days.
“The public’s safety is paramount and is just as important inside our buildings as it is on our roads,” Segarra said.
