Hartford-based Express Kitchens has installed a waste treatment system that prevents all the water used in the fabrication process from going down the drain.
Express Kitchens expects to save 23,000 gallons of water daily through its new 100 percent closed-loop water recycling system that enables the company to reuse all the water in the making of countertops.
The company also purchased a Yukon Bridge saw that will significantly increase the speed at which it can produce quartz, granite, and marble countertops.
Express Kitchens, named as one of Fortune magazine’s fastest growing companies, plans to add more jobs as it expands in Connecticut and Massachusetts.Â
