Hartford Investment Management Co. (HIMCO), a subsidiary of The Hartford, recently appointed John Melvin as managing director and head of portfolio management. Melvin will report to Brion Johnson, HIMCO president.
Melvin joins HIMCO with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently serving as managing director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and chief investment officer of its global insurance asset management business.
