For the first time in a year, house prices in the Greater Hartford market are falling along with sales, Realtors say.
Single-family dwelling median prices dropped to $210,000 in February from $215,000 the same month a year ago, the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors says. Prices hadn’t fallen since February 2010.
Condominium prices also fell to $155,000 from $167,000.
Meanwhile, house sales fell 1.6 percent to 374 units last month from 380 a year ago, and new listings plummeted, the group said.
It took an average 94 days to sell a house in February, up from 83 in February 2009.
Condo sales dropped 15.5 percent to 87 units from 103 in the same period.
