Hartford Hospital hires two

Dr. Richard T. Kershen has joined Hartford Hospital as a urologic surgeon, specializing in reconstructive pelvic surgery in men and women. Kershen previously worked with the University of Vermont College of Medicine as a clinician, researcher and associate professor in the department of surgery’s urology division. He also developed the first multi-disciplinary center for male and female pelvic disorders in New England, Fletcher Allen Hospital’s Continence Center. Kershen, a West Hartford resident, practices with Hartford Specialists and will see patients in the Hartford Hospital Medical Office Building.

Dr. Timothy John Herbst has joined Hartford Hospital as a diagnostic radiologist. Herbst’s clinical area of interest is cardiothoracic imaging. A graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Herbst completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut and a diagnostic residency at Hartford Hospital. Herbst is certified by the American Board of Radiology and serves as a member of the Society of Thoracic Radiology. He will practice with Jefferson Radiology in the Hartford Hospital Medical Office Building.
