Hartford HealthCare will consolidate office space following $14.25M Farmington property purchase

Hartford HealthCare says it plans to consolidate offices into a Farmington office building it recently purchased for $14.25 million.

The healthcare system, which is the parent to Hartford Hospital and six other acute-care hospitals, purchased the roughly 133,500-square-foot office building on 13.3 acres at 9 Farm Springs Road from a White Plains-based limited liability company earlier this month.

In a statement released Monday night, Hartford Healthcare Vice President of Content Strategy Rebecca Stewart said the company has worked to consolidate many offices and leases into strategic locations across the state.

“Moving different offices to one location at 9 Farm Springs creates a more engaging work environment, lowers operating and utility costs and generates millions in savings in overhead, while freeing up important clinical space for patients,” Stewart wrote. “The new location is projected to reduce the overall footprint by almost 60 percent.”

The three-story, concrete building at 9 Farm Springs Road was built in 1980.

Raytheon Technologies, which is now headquartered in Virginia.

John M. McCormick, executive vice president with CBRE, brokered the transaction for the seller. Andrew Filler, principal with Avison Young, represented the buyer.
