Hartford HealthCare has paid $14.25 million for a roughly 133,500-square-foot Farmington office building in a sale recorded earlier this month.
The growing health system bought 9 Farm Springs Road from Milton 9 Farm Springs LLC. The seller is based in White Plains, New York, although its principal, Michael Shabsels, lists a Long Island address.
The three-story, concrete building at 9 Farm Springs Road was built in 1980 and sits on 13.3 acres.
Attempts to reach a Hartford HealthCare representative were not immediately successful.
Farm Springs Road, which is made up of several office building properties, is where the former United Technologies Corp. relocated its headquarters from Hartford to Farmington in 2015. UTC merged with Raytheon in 2020 to form Raytheon Technologies, which is now headquartered in Virginia.
John M. McCormick, executive vice president with CBRE, brokered the transaction for the seller. Andrew Filler, principal with Avison Young, represented the buyer.
