The price per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline has dropped 20 cents over the past month, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
The price per gallon at Greater Hartford stations was $3.702 on Wednesday, down from $3.909 a month ago.
Wednesday’s gasoline prices in Hartford have dropped 0.7 since yesterday, 5.2 cents in the past week, 20.7 cents in the past month, and 39.8 cents since a year ago, according to AAA.
Greater Hartford’s gasoline prices were the cheapest of all the major metropolitan areas of the state on Wednesday. In New London, the price was $3.709, New Haven had $3.731, and Bridgeport had $3.847.
The price on Wednesday of a barrel of crude oil — the largest influence on gasoline prices — was $103.03.
