The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has named Luis Cabán steering committee chairman of its Latino Endowment Fund.
The fund aims to increase philanthropy in the Latino community.
Cabán is a community activist and former executive director of the Southside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance. He is also a commissioner with the Metropolitan District Commission, a member of the Community Development Advisory Council at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and an executive board member of the U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute.
