The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has announced it will award $824,350 in grants to 36 entities to provide summer learning programs across Greater Hartford.
The grants will cover nearly 8,000 school-age children and youth in the region.
Among the organizations benefiting from the grants are:
Boys & Girls Club of Hartford will receive $45,000 for its “Summer Fun Club.”
Catholic Charities will receive $21,000 for its “Summer Survivor” programs at Milner, McDonough and Parkville schools.
Girl Scouts of America will receive $36,000 for its “Summertime Opportunities for Girls in Hartford” program.
The Salvation Army will receive $30,000 for its summer camp.
