The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has hired Yvette Bello as program officer.
Bello will evaluate grant proposals from nonprofits and make funding recommendations to the foundation’s management team.
She previously served as executive director of Latino Community Services in Hartford for seven years. She has also worked for the state Department of Public Health and the Connecticut Army National Guard.
She is also a health leadership fellow with the Connecticut Health Foundation and was one of the Hartford Business Journal’s Five To Watch in 2011.
