Connecticut Supreme Court Associate Justice Richard N. Palmer has been appointed to the board of directors of the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, the community foundation for Hartford and 28 surrounding towns.
Palmer’s appointment by Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers took effect Sept. 14 and will run through Dec. 31 to complete the unexpired term of the late Judge David M. Borden. Palmer will then serve one full five-year term on the foundation’s board from Jan. 1, 2017, through Dec. 31, 2021.
Palmer has served on the state Supreme Court since 1993. Previously, he served as chief state’s attorney for the state of Connecticut and as U.S. attorney general in Connecticut.
