The Hartford Chamber of Commerce and the city are collaborating on an event this week that aims to highlight new businesses coming to Connecticut’s capital.
The Hart Lift Showcase is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Hartford Marriott Downtown on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The event will give people the chance to learn more about, and shop from, 21 new businesses that are opening or have recently opened in Hartford. A dozen of those businesses will be offering food and drinks at the showcase from their new restaurants along Pratt Street and the surrounding area.
The 21 participating businesses include:
- Bloom Bake ShopÂ

The new businesses are among the 63 startups participating in the city’s Hart Lift grant program, which was launched in late 2021 using American Rescue Plan Act funds, to help landlords fit out spaces for new businesses.
