A multi-year partnership between the city of Hartford and GoodWorks Entertainment, which owns Infinity Hall on Front Street, will bring nationally touring musical acts to Hartford, Mayor Luke Bronin’s office announced.
The music series, Hartford Live, will provide free outdoor concerts on Thursday nights at the Old State House lawn from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It premieres the first week of August and will run through mid-September. In addition to live music, each event will feature food trucks and local vendors.Â
Hartford Live is part of the city’s ongoing economic development campaign. The city is using American Rescue Plan funds to support the concert series.Â
Fairfield-based Goodworks Entertainment created a musical lineup meant to celebrate culture and diversity in Hartford.
“We are excited to bring a diverse outdoor music experience to the streets of Hartford,” said GoodWorks and Infinity Hall co-founders Tyler Grill and Dave Rosenfeld. “The goal of this free music series is to bring excitement and a shared experience for all of the valued communities in our city.”
Upcoming performances include reggae artist Burning Spear on Aug. 4, funk octet West End Blend on Aug. 11 and Neighbor and Neal Francis on Aug. 18. Additional concerts will take place on Aug. 25, Sept. 8 and Sept. 15.
