Hartford County residents’ weekly wages grew in the fourth quarter of 2014, but at a slower pace than the national average, the U.S. Department of Labor said Tuesday.
However, Hartford County continued to have a higher weekly wage than the national average.
The county’s wages grew 2.8 percent, to $1,246, over the final quarter of 2013, DOL said. Across the country, wages grew 3.5 percent in the quarter ended Dec. 31, to $1,035.
New Haven and New London counties’ wages grew 4.5 percent and 4.3 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, Fairfield County had average weekly wages of $1,674, the seventh highest of the 339 largest U.S. counties, according to DOL.
