The Hartford Business Journal is commemorating its 25th anniversary this year with a look back at the major news and events that have shaped Greater Hartford’s economy and industries over the last quarter-century.
HBJ’s anniversary issue includes industry lookbacks in banking and finance, real estate, health care and bioscience, insurance, manufacturing and education. There is also a section on the region’s top newsmakers and political figures, Connecticut’s 50 oldest companies, a timeline, and a section on sports impact.
HBJ Publisher Joe Zwiebel says this special issue is intended to provide “a useful, and perhaps, for some, nostalgic look back on a distinctive time in the Hartford region, and those who have shaped it.”
“Twenty-five years in, and looking forward to 25 more,” Zwiebel says, noting HBJ will continue to “stay true to our values,” innovate and work hard to serve the needs of readers, advertisers and supporters.
Editor Greg Bordonaro describes some of the changes that have helped define the Hartford region over the last quarter-century.
