Hartford area home sales were flat in June but prices continued to climb amid tightening inventory, realty authorities say.
Buyers closed on 968 units last month, only six more than June 2012, according to the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors.
Houses under contract climbed 13 percent to 1,080 units last month from 956 a year ago, the association says.
Inventory dropped to 6,655 dwellings on the market from 6,701. The average number of days a house spent on the market fell to 63 days from 76 a year earlier.
Condominium closed sales increased 5.7 percent to 224 units from 212 in June of last year. The median sale price increased 1.15 percent to $154,000 from $152,250.
