Hartford is the seventh hardest working city in the country, according to a ranking by storage and moving website Sparefoot.
In advance of Labor Day, the Texas company ranked American cities using government data on hours worked, commuting times, families with two working parents, and the percentage of the population that works the equivalent of more than one full-time job.
Connecticut ranked highly in share of dual-income families and residents working part time for economic reasons, which means those who want to work more hours but haven’t been able to do so.
The latter data point indicates a willingness to work in a less-than-ideal job market, Sparefoot concluded.
The Minneapolis, Minn. area topped the ranking.
