Cigna Pharmacy Management in Bloomfield is losing one top executive but gaining another.
The company announced today that Eric Elliott, who previously led Cigna’s pharmacy business among other duties, is leaving to become the chief executive officer of Prime Therapeutics, a pharmacy benefit management company in Eagan, Minn.
Elliot is being succeeded as president by C. Daniel Haron. Haron is a licensed pharmacist who joined Cigna in 2007 as vice president of operations for Cigna Tel-Drug Home Delivery Pharmacy.
“Dan is uniquely prepared to step into this important leadership role taking our pharmacy business to the next level of excellence,” Cigna CEO David Cordani said in a statement.
Haron graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, and then held positions of increasing responsibility at People’s Drug Stores, CVS Pharmacy, Arrow Prescription Centers, Brooks Pharmacy, and Eckerd Pharmacy before joining Cigna.
