Sylvie T. Hangen is the first director of financial aid at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Hamden’s Quinnipiac University.
Hangen comes to Quinnipiac with more than 15 years of experience in higher education financial aid. In her new position, the Cheshire resident will oversee financial aid for medical students when the school opens next fall.
Hangen comes to Quinnipiac from Fairfield’s Sacred Heart University, where she was director of student financial assistance systems and programs.
She is a member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the Connecticut Association of Professional Financial Aid Administrators.
Hangen holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University.
