Hamilton’s stamp on Chinese airliner grows

Technology manufacturer Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks has agreed to co-develop an onboard power system for China’s new narrowbody airliner.

Terms of Hamilton’s collaboration with AVIC Electromechanical Systems weren’t disclosed.

The deal with result in the formation of a new entity and will serve as a tier one supplier to the Commercial Aviation Corporation of China (Comac), which is developing the C919 airliner.

Earlier this year, Comac chose Hamilton for the 150-seat class C919’s electric system, pilot controls and fire and overheat protection system.
