Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks and its space-development partners have won the prestigious Robert J. Collier Trophy for their work on the International Space Station.
The team consists of the National Aeronautic and Space Administration, the Boeing Co., Charles Stark Draper Labs, Honeywell Corp., Lockheed Martin Corp. and United Space Alliance.
Hamilton was also part of a separate team honored earlier this month with the 2010 Rotary National Award for Space Achievement for supporting successful spacewalks to assemble the orbiting space station and repair the Hubble telescope.
