Windsor Locks industrial product manufacturer Hamilton Sundstrand announced the delivery Monday of its new line of central atmosphere monitor systems for installation in all U.S. Navy nuclear submarines.
The system monitoring the environment inside the submarines was delivered to the Los Angeles Class submarine retrofit program and the Virginia Class Block III program. In addition to retrofitting the system into all existing submarines, the Navy will install them in new ones.
Hamilton will manufacture this new product out of its Pomona, Calif. facility, which dedicated a new lean manufacturing line earlier in January.
The Windsor Locks company had 2010 revenues of $5.6 billion creating advanced technology products for aerospace, defense and international space programs.
Hamilton is a subsidiary of Hartford-based United Technologies Corp.
