Hamilton Sundstrand in Windsor Locks has retained a familiar Colorado subcontractor to supply engine components for Pratt & Whitney Co.’s PurePower geared turbofans that will propel European airliners.
Hamilton contracted with Woodward Inc., of Fort Collins, Colo., to supply high- and low-pressure stator vane actuators, a bleed valve actuator, an oil valve package, fuel flow divider and return-to-tank valve.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed Monday.
The parts meet specific design requirements for Pratt’s PW1100G-JM offered by Airbus as an option for its A320neo airliner, and the PW1400G for Russian jet-builder Irkut’s MS-21 aircraft. Both are single-aisle jetcraft.
Woodward also supplies PurePower engine components for the engine that propels the Bombardier CSeries airliner and Mitsubishi Regional Jet.
It also has a Pratt contract to supply fuel nozzles for the PurePower.
Hamilton and Pratt are division of Hartford’s United Technologies Corp.
