Hamden wine importer makes Inc. 500 list

Hamden’s Votto Vines is among three Connecticut companies to crack the Inc. 500 list this year, which tracks revenue growth among private companies.

Votto Vines snuck in at 464th, reporting $4.3 million of revenue, which grew 1,023 percent over the past three years.

The company was delivering wine in owner Nick Votto’s Subaru in 2009, but has since scaled up to become a multi-state importer and marketer, it said in a statement. Votto said his company is the first ever wine importer to make the Inc. list.
