Students from Hamden’s Helen Street School and members of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection are stocking Lake Wintergreen at the town’s West Rock Ridge State Park in anticipation for the fishing season.
DEEP’s Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education Program also held informative programs on water, fish, and fishing for Hamden’s first and fifth grade students.
Saturday is opening day for fishing in the state.
