Hamden packaging company acquires graphics vendor

PackEdge, a Hamden-based manufacturer of custom packaging, has announced its acquisition of commercial printing company Keno Graphics in Shelton.

PackEdge said the deal expands its service offerings across New England and the Northeast.

PackEdge specializes in custom folding cartons, die-cutting and paper-to-board lamination. It will now add Keno Graphics’ offset and digital printing, bindery, mailing services and large-format production.

PackEdge, led by President Adam Aron, has 28 employees and Keno Graphics has 22. The company said it plans to retain all employees and may add staff as it continues to grow.

PackEdge says all operations will remain in Connecticut, with Keno Graphics retaining its Shelton facility.

The company sells into all of the New England states, along with New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Canada. Keno has broadly similar markets, but will expand PackEdge’s customer and geographic base.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

PackEdge has been operating in Connecticut since 1971. It was formerly known as B-P Products and rebranded to PackEdge in 2023.
