Simione Healthcare Consultants, which caters to home and hospice care businesses, said it has purchased Boyd & Nicholas Inc., a fellow consulting firm in California.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Boyd & Nicholas is based in Sonoma County and was founded in 1993.
Robert J. Simione, managing principal at Simione, said in a statement that the deal comes as the home care industry becomes increasingly complex.
“Together, we provide a stronger blend of operational, financial and clinical experience to help these providers better serve their patients and communities,” Simione said.
As a part of the transaction, Boyd & Nicholas co-founder Tom Boyd is joining Simione as vice president of reimbursable services.
Simione’s website lists 34 consultants and analysts while Boyd’s lists six.
