Haircuts Will Raise a Million

The Women’s Heart Program at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center has been renamed The Phillips Women’s Heart Program at Saint Francis in recognition of a $1 million, five-year commitment made by Shari and Matthew Phillips, owners of salons in West Hartford. The program will be promoted through a series of events entitled the “Heart of Beauty.” The Phillips and other locally acclaimed salon hairdressers recently kicked off the first fundraising event with a Cut-A-Thon at Gengras Auditorium at Saint Francis by offering haircuts to Saint Francis employees for $20.
