Guilford-based Brook + Whittle continued its recent buying spree with the acquisition of Diamond Flexible Packaging of Northbrook, Ill., the company announced this week.
Diamond, a maker of custom-printed bags and pouches for food, cosmetics, nutritional, beverage and healthcare companies, expands Brook + Whittle’s portfolio in printing and packaging. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Brook + Whittle CEO Mark Pollard said, “Diamond is an ideal fit into the B+W network and has great potential for continued growth.”
The deal adds five in-house pouch lines to the Guilford company’s assets and allows it to improve access and lead times in key markets, said Jeremy Letterman, senior vice president of operations.
In recent months Brook + Whittle has announced its purchase of the custom labels group of Cenveo Worldwide Limited of Stamford and Paradigm Label of California.
As part of its expansion, Brook + Whittle said in October it had leased an 18,764-square-foot industrial space in East Haven.
