Guilford penthouse sale breaks records 

A 4,000-square-foot condominium, a penthouse in Guilford’s Leete Building, has sold for $3.65 million.

The unit is at 66 High St., and agents involved with the deal indicated it is the highest selling condominium unit in New Haven County to date. It was originally listed at $3.95 million. 

Byron Lazine and Nicole White of One + Company at William Raveis Real Estate represented the seller. 

The penthouse takes up the top floor of the Leete Building, and features views of Long Island Sound and close proximity to the Guilford Green.

The luxury condominiums on High Street were built by the Horton Group LLC.

New Haven rents held steady over the past month

An ApartmentList.com report for September showed New Haven rents remained steady compared to the past month.

However, the city’s rents are down by 0.7% when doing a year-over-year comparison. 

Median rents in New Haven are $1,092 for a one-bedroom apartment and $1,333 for a two-bedroom. In comparison, the national average for a two-bedroom rent is $1,195. 

Stamford rentals are the most expensive among the state’s major cities, with a median two-bedroom rent of $1,942.
