Growing Guilford-based label manufacturer Brook + Whittle announced this week that it has acquired PouchIt, a flexible packaging manufacturer headquartered in Atlanta.
PouchIt specializes in short-run stand up pouches, layflat pouches and roll stock film. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Brook + Whittle said, in an announcement, that the acquisition increases the company’s footprint in the southeast and “strategically positions the company deeper in this rapidly growing segment of the packaging industry.”
“We are thrilled to welcome PouchIt into the Brook + Whittle family,” said Mark Pollard, CEO of Brook + Whittle. “PouchIt’s printing and converting capabilities will provide a great springboard to grow our flexible packaging business. This will allow us to provide faster service to our existing customers and expand into new markets.”
Brook + Whittle, which is owned by San Francisco-based private equity firm Genstar Capital, has been on a buying spree in recent years.
In 2022, it acquired Diamond Flexible Packaging of Northbrook, Illininos, a maker of custom-printed bags and pouches for food, cosmetics, nutritional, beverage and healthcare companies.
Also in 2022, Brook + Whittle purchased a custom labels group, Cenveo Worldwide Limited of Stamford and Paradigm Label of California.
Brook + Whittle operates 18 locations across the United States.
