New London’s downtown Interdistrict School for Arts and Communication is underway with renovations and expansion with a $1.5 million finance package from a Groton lender.
Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is financing the ISAAC project, which broke ground in June and when finished will include new physical education, performance and community space.
The 191-student public middle school for grades 6-8 is at 190 Governor Winthrop Boulevard in the city’s former YMCA building.
The Carlin Construction Co. of New London is contractor. Lindsay Liebig Roche LLC of New London is architect.
