Grocer ALDI is staging four August hiring events across Connecticut, beginning Saturday, to recruit more than 80 new workers for jobs paying $12 to $25 an hour.
The chain says it will hold job fairs from Saturday through Aug. 18 in Enfield, Glastonbury, the Mystic section of Groton, and in West Haven, as part of its effort to fill 2,500 openings among its more than 1,400 stores in 32 states.
The Aug. 8 fairs will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at ALDI’s Enfield store, 25 Hazard Ave.; and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 6 Hendel Drive, Mystic.
On Aug. 17, the Glastonbury fair is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Homewood Suites, 65 Glastonbury Blvd.
The final event, on Aug. 18, is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, 510 Saw Mill Road, in West Haven.
ALDI says it pays store associates $12 to $12.50 per hour; shift managers, $16.75 per hour; and manager trainees, $25 per hour.
