Two Greenwich-based private equity firms have joined forces to become the top stakeholders in US Fertility, a Maryland fertility company that partners with physician-owned and physician-led practices and IVF laboratories.
Amulet Capital Partners and L Catterton said they entered into a partnership to serve as co-lead investors. US Fertility’s physician partners will continue to hold substantial ownership in the business.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Amulet, a healthcare-focused private equity firm, will increase its investment in US Fertility and remain a significant shareholder. The firm founded US Fertility in 2020 through a partnership with Shady Grove Fertility, an independent fertility practice.
US Fertility works with more than 200 physicians and operates 121 IVF clinic and laboratory locations nationwide.
Amulet, which has offices in Greenwich and California, manages about $3.1 billion in assets and is investing out of its oversubscribed third fund, which closed in July 2024 with roughly $1.2 billion in commitments.
L Catterton, also based in Greenwich, is a consumer-focused investment firm managing about $38 billion across private equity, credit and real estate strategies. Its funds can invest between $5 million and $5 billion in consumer businesses.
