Greenwich eatery named Restaurant of the Year

Bar Rosina’s in Greenwich has been named Connecticut Restaurant of the Year by the Connecticut Restaurant Association.

The association honored 21 eateries across the state in its annual CRAZIES awards, announced at an event held at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

In addition to Bar Rosina’s, county-level awards went to Materia Ristorante in Bantam, Restaurant Bricco in West Hartford, Hachiroku Shokudo & Sake Bar in New Haven, Monet’s Table in Tolland, The Essex in Old Saybrook, Trigo Wood Fired Pizza in Willimantic, and The Port of Call in Mystic.

“Connecticut’s restaurant and hospitality industry continues to be a powerful economic engine, accounting for nearly 10 percent of all jobs in our state,” said Connecticut Restaurant Association president & CEO Scott Dolch, noting this was the sixth year the awards have been held. “We look forward to building on this success each and every year as we encourage everyone in hospitality to take part in this annual celebration.”
