Greenwich company names new CEO

Alexander Kravets recently joined Symbridge Holdings LLC of Greenwich as its new chief executive officer. 

Kravets will work to grow the company’s digital asset trading business and ensure profitability.

Michael McGuire, outgoing CEO and now chairman of the company’s advisory committee, said Kravets’ leadership experience within the blockchain, cryptocurrency and trading industries will be an “immense benefit to Symbridge.” 

“We look forward to ushering in a new era of growth with him on our executive team and are excited to see what the future holds for our digital asset ecosystem,” McGuire added.

Kravets joins Symbridge from CEX.IO, a global and regulated cryptocurrency exchange, where he was CEO of the United States division.

Beacon Communities names new leader for Connecticut

Beacon Communities has promoted Kristie Tafel Rizzo to senior vice president, property management. 

Rizzo has been with the Boston-based Beacon since 2005, most recently in the role of regional vice president. 

In her new role, Rizzo will oversee Beacon’s portfolio in New York and Connecticut. 

During her tenure at Beacon, Rizzo has transitioned nine properties and teams to Beacon throughout Connecticut and New York, and completed several construction and lease-up projects. Rizzo is also a licensed real estate agent in Connecticut.

Anthem executive to chair New Haven Heart Walk

The American Heart Association (AHA) recently announced that Lou Gianquinto, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Connecticut, is serving as chair of the New Haven Heart Walk.

The event will return as an in-person one on Saturday, May 7. Organizers anticipate that the event will raise $250,000.

As chair, Gianquinto, originally from West Haven, will lead organizational and recruitment efforts. He will call on thousands of area volunteers, survivors, walkers and business leaders to support AHA and the event. 

“COVID-19 hasn’t slowed down cardiovascular disease, and awareness about heart healthy living is more crucial than ever,” Gianquinto said.
