New Haven alternative energy supplier Greenleaf Biofuels has produced its 1 millionth gallon of biodiesel.
The company started production at its New Haven Terminal location over the summer and quickly reached the 1 million mark by the end of October.
The plant, which is the largest in New England, has the capacity to produce 10 million gallons per year of a fuel that emits 88 percent fewer greenhouse gases than typical fossil fuels.
