Greening up the roads

Danbury-based Electro Energy Inc. is getting into the green power business. The maker of battery technologies has said today it’s licensing a new power system for commercial trucks. The new technology will use a hybrid system to power truck air conditioners, heaters, and televisions. That means that when trucks are idling during federally mandated rest periods they will emit fewer pollutants.
