Our Mission: Our mission is to inspire all people to participate and invest in the arts so that, together, we can improve lives and transform our community through the power of the arts.
The Greater Hartford Arts Council helps to improve lives and transform communities through the arts, right here in the Capital Region. Thanks to the generous contributions of corporate partners and individuals like you, the Arts Council is able to provide critical support to nearly 150 non-profit arts organizations, allowing them to offer educational opportunities for thousands of children and adults, help improve health outcomes for our most vulnerable citizens, and spark civic dialogue to create a more vibrant and united community. All through the power of the arts.

Giving Opportunities
Help us build a stronger community through the arts!
Start a workplace giving campaign. Spark creativity at your company and encourage your employees to get involved, give back and connect with their community.
Become a Corporate Partner. Show your company’s commitment to your community and contribute to the vibrancy of our region through a corporate contribution to the United Arts Campaign.
Be a leader for the Arts by making a personal gift to our campaign. Our Leadership Circle donors enjoy special access to the Capital Region’s cultural scene through invitations to special events.
Help us build Make Music Hartford. Make Music Day is an international celebration of music and community that brings free, outdoor, participatory musical events to cities worldwide! In 2019, Hartford hosted more than 100 musical events to bring joy and a sense of community to all. Show that your brand cares, underwrite one of the participatory Spotlight Events or Rock Your Neighborhood by supporting free musical performances for one of Hartford’s neighborhoods. Volunteer Opportunities
Share your skills and give back! Our Business Volunteers for the Arts program connects professionals with non-profit arts organizations that need help with business projects. Or, pitch in during one of our community events, like Make Music Day or Art on the Streets!
