Goodrich wins Russian helicopter work

Aerospace-industrial manufacturer Goodrich Corp.  with operations in West Hartford and Danbury, has landed a contract with Russian Technologies State Corp. to provide parts for its Mi-34C1 helicopter, The Dayton (Ohio) Business Journal reports.

Goodrich will supply the main rotor actuator and hydraulic power supply for the aircraft, as well as research and development and aftermarket support.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The equipment will boost the helicopters’ maximum takeoff weight, among other benefits.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Goodrich is a global supplier of systems and services to the aerospace and defense industries.

Goodrich has 700 employees in Troy at its Aircraft Wheels and Brakes division.
