Eastern Connecticut Health Network’s first combined Mason & Purcell Golf Classic drew more than 200 golfers and raised more than $135,000 to benefit Manchester Memorial and Rockville General hospitals. The Jack Mason Memorial Golf Tournament and the Daniel Paul Purcell, MD Memorial Golf Classic were separate events held annually since the early 1980s. Both tournaments have attracted strong support from local businesses and community representatives. This year, the tournaments were combined to reduce expenses, make better use of resources, illustrate the unification of the ECHN organization and celebrate the historical merging of two established families in the eastern Connecticut community. The event was held at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield. Pictured are, from left, Dick Boccaccio, Ryan Barry, Joe Jeamel, and Dom Perno.
