Connecticut is the sixth most generous state when it comes to donating to charitable causes through the fundraising website GoFundMe.
According to an analysis by GoFundMe, only five U.S. states had more per-capita donors than the Nutmeg State. They were Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine.
More than 1.7 million people made donations to strengthen their communities via GoFundMe in 2024, according to the report.
The most generous cities were Marietta, Georgia; Sarasota, Florida; and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the analysis found.
