Glastonbury-based aerospace manufacturer HABCO Industries has been acquired by Cook Inlet Region Inc.
Glastonbury-based aerospace manufacturer HABCO Industries has been acquired by Cook Inlet Region Inc. (CIRI), an Alaska Native regional corporation.
HABCO manufactures, services and deploys test equipment to help manufacturers ensure airframes and engines are serviced properly. It is a supply chain company for Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky and Boeing, among others.
Founded in 1970, it currently employs around 60 people. It’s headquartered in a 56,644-square-foot building in Glastonbury and has another facility in Windsor.
“As part of the CIRI family of companies, we are well positioned to accelerate growth while preserving the culture and customer focus that have defined HABCO for more than five decades,” HABCO President and CEO Brian Montanari said.
CIRI’s global business portfolio currently exceeds $1 billion in assets, according to the company. HABCO is its third major acquisition since 2024. The corporation says the intent is to strengthen and diversify its portfolio.
CIRI is one of 12 land-based Alaska Native regional corporations created by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. It was incorporated in 1972, and is owned by nearly 10,000 shareholders who live in Alaska and throughout the world.
