Glastonbury’s Cowles to pen NanoViricides’ facility

West Haven germicide developer NanoViricides Inc. hired Glastonbury architect Kathyann Cowles and her Id3A LLC shop to design its planned 18,000-square-foot lab and pilot drug-production facility in Shelton.

Cowles, who has experience designing technical and R&D facilities, will be principal architect on the refit of the light-manufacturing building at 1 Controls Drive that NanoViricides eventually intends to lease from a company controlled by CEO Anil Diwan. Her fee wasn’t disclosed.

Cowles will work alongside project engineers Andrew Hahn and Phil Mader to design and complete the facility that will incorporate a state-of-the-art clean room.
